Program Details
Our School Office Clerk Certificate Program is offered part-time, in the evenings, with two intakes each year. Classes are held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5pm-9pm at Queen Elizabeth Continuing Education Centre located at 9457 King George Blvd., Surrey, BC.
This program will focus on the technical and interpersonal skills you will need to be effective in a school office environment. After successful completion of the Certificate Program, students will have a good understanding of what it is like to work as an Office Clerk in an Elementary or Secondary school.
This program runs for 12 weeks and will include two practicums of one week each, in a Surrey school office, under the supervision of a clerical mentor. Students will learn the basics of school office procedures, gain experience connecting with students, staff and families, safety preparedness, professional writing, basic bookkeeping, and Office 365 applications.

Safety and Emergency Preparedness
Resume writing
We offer Winter and Fall intake (depending upon enrollment). All instruction is provided in person, with 2 full weeks of arranged practicum within a Surrey School office. Please note that the 2 weeks of practicum takes place during school hours, Monday to Friday.
